ESTLAND is an independent design practice led by Hayley Freestun, bringing together a broad and instinctive approach to space, interiors, landscape and creative direction.

With more than 20 years working across design, landscape, urbanism, interiors and the built environment, Hayley brings a considered understanding of how spaces come together — from the overall composition and flow through to the materials, objects and details that make them feel complete.

Her approach is grounded in a natural understanding of space, proportion, balance and movement, alongside a strong instinct for colour, texture, materials and the way individual elements work together. It is this combination of spatial thinking and creative intuition that shapes the ESTLAND approach.

Alongside her design practice, Hayley has spent years immersed in the world of interiors and retail, including establishing and running her own boutique lifestyle and design business. This experience developed a particular appreciation for objects, furniture, styling, product selection and the art of creating spaces with personality — not simply choosing beautiful things, but understanding how they contribute to the feeling of a space as a whole.

ESTLAND brings these disciplines together through a more flexible approach to design — helping people explore ideas, find direction and make considered choices about their spaces.
